No fibers today:)

Well, Iam not a scrap book person, but it was about time to make some invitations for my sons confirmation.

The cards are "designed" by me and him.
Was not easy to find a colour that could fit his taste. He wanted black and silver and we tried it. But it looked too much like a funeral invitation and he agreed to put some white to it too. And here is the final result.
And now Iam happy to finish this project, that I can return to my fibers, where I belong:)

Feeling better

Today Iam feeling much better. I want to thank you for the last comments on my writings.
The nature in Norway is great, and I usuall have no problems moving and around, but the class was quite a new thing for me and my dog and so the movement in the mountains. That was a bit too much.
But now I feel better and the weather is absolutley fantastic.
Here is the thread from the red, blue, purple dyed fiber I showed you some weeks ago.
I combined the thread with some purple alpacca fiber and the result is really good. I have no idea yet what to make from it.
But I thought about a shawl or something.
So, thats all for today. Later today we will do some BBQ and I will go for a nap on my sofa.:)

The day after

My weekend in Etne with the dog was very nice. I met great people and learned a lot. One of the things I learned is that iam not used to crawl 3,5 days through the mountains. :) I must say, for me personal it was too much and I had to say stop sunday in the morning.:P

But the nature was fantastic and it was a very good experience for me and Alvin too.

Yesterday it was the norwegian national day celebration.

It was great fun for the kids.

I must say I had a good time too, but I was looking forward to my bed yesterday evening.
Ok, enough for today. I wish you all a good week:)

They wont stand still

Hello there.

There were some wishes to take a picture of our lambs but it was quite hard to take one, cause they will not stand still. But I tried and here is the result.

Now we are soon finished. There is only one sheep left and we hope it willgive birth today:)
Not sure how many lamb we have now, my mother in law has control about that, but its close up to 40.
During the night the sheep stand inside the barn cause its still quite cold outside. But they go outside during the day and really enjoy it. :)

Have a look

I was not so active with my wool the last days and that has several reasons.

My father in law broke his ancle/ foot by accident last week and since then i must help my mother in law with their sheep. It`s still lamb season and we are quite busy. So far we have 30 lamb.

But I found the time to dye some woolfiber several days ago and I really love the result. The colours are wonderfull.

I wanted to show you my view from the living room. Early today it was raining but now the sky is clear and I can hope for some nice weather for the weekend.

At the moment I am use the rest of my spare time to train my youngest dog.

We are travelling next week to Etne for some dog training class. The first class (C-class) for rescue dogs. I hope it will be great fun:)

If you visit Norway once...

....then you have to try this.

This are cod tongues, with potatoes and sour cream.
You usually get them in nothern Norway. My mother in law is from Lofoten and she usually bought them while visiting her relatives.
But now it was long time ago she visited Lofoten but I have a friend (thank you Olav!!!), who bought them for me while being there in a working matter.
And I must say, they tasted lovely. Tender fish meat and a taste: hmmmm, fantastic:)
