More Nuno

Well I figured out that I like Nuno felting a lot.

Yesterday I gave it a go again. One of the result is with quite strong colours and the other in more soft tones. I like them both. For the soft one I used cotton and the strong colours are on a silk ground.

It was wonderfull outside this morning and I took a picture to give you an impression about how it looked at 8 o`clock this morning. But its quite cold outside. I stod up at 4 o`clock. Couldnt sleep . I worked so many night shifts the last weeks that my body dont know the time anymore.

Anyway, its warm and cosy inside. Iam relaxing and enjoying the day.:)

On the other picture is the shawl iam working at. I really like the pattern and the colour of the wool. What do you think about it?

Hello, Iam still here

Hello all of you:)
This will be just an update without pictures, cause Iam at work atm:)
Well first of all I must say sry for not have been updated my blogg for some month but I was not in the mood :p
Well anyway, lots of stuff happened and I hadnt rly the time to be creative at all.
We had our sons confirmationsday and it all went very well. In the sommer months I was not so busy spinning or knitting but i hope I can show you some of mynew stuff I made soon. I just have to finish my last week of work and then Iam able to put some pictures in.

I had some problems with the pattern in the beginning (like allways:) ) but now it looks like the pattern and I get friends in the end:)

A fast update

Holidays are over and Iam off to work tomorrow again for 12 new days. But I like to send a hello to all who know me and my blog.

Time is going so fast.

We had some nice weeks in july, weather was not allways good but caught some nice cod (well my husband did). I did not spin so much on my wheel at the moment. Had not so much time.

I will be back later in August. CU.

Hello without a picture

Unfortunatley, I have been very busy when I was home and had not the time for blogging.
Now I am at work again and afterwards I will be on a short trip to some family holyday. So I think I take some blogg free until the end of july.

Fiber goodies

Hello:) Iam back from work and i spun a lot and dyed a bit:) Here are the results from my day.

Its the first time I work with Sari Silk and its quite interesting to work with. And while I spun I thought about what to blend it with cause I will not use it alone, so I thought about something bright, like the colours in the Sari Silk and my thoughts got pink/red on its mind. The firber I dyed is from our own sheep this time and the breed is called "Dala". Its a norwegian breed as far as I know. http://nn.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalasau (Sry, I only found an norwegian link)

While I was at work in Stavanger i started with a new shawl I will show you one of the next days. Iam not so happy with it yet. Had some problems with the pattern, but now I hope it will work.

Some boucle

Here Iam again.

Iam a bit busy at the moment, because next week, Iam going off to work for some weeks again, so Iam cleaning and painting and moving furniture.

But in my tiny bit of spare time I made this: my first boucle.

The colours are a bit strong and its not much, but technical its not bad at all I think.

Its not much. The thread is made from some orange wild sheep fiber, I died earlier this year and the rest of it, is bought material.

Some red cotton thread and the gold is acryllic I think.

Last week I ordered some Sari Silk at Winghams shop in England and some other stuff too, and I hope to get before Iam off to work.

I will show it to you when get it.
